MASTER SHIFU
This was my first concept of painting a pet. Also, a commissioned painting I found was a lot different from other portraits I have so far painted. It was a simple image to be captured but still took its own course of time to paint his cute face, the fur and life which I observed.
I would say that this was an effortless painting, small-sized because not many colours were involved in it. The owner had named her pet after the canine character from the movie “The Kung Fu Panda” and though I titled the painting Shifu, it was retitled as “Master Shifu”, which I completed in September 2021.
