A gracefully flowing river is a magic sight, a moving, living part of the earth itself just like this is scene from south East Northumberland in England, earlier known as Merkel Dene and the river emerging through the dense trees in the distance was something vastly captivating.
Starting off the new year with a brighter and a larger painting, with a canvas board this time to paint my favorite subject of an english landscape, I used vibrant greens all through the painting. The yellow flowers were not a part of the orignal reference picture and I added them to make the scene look more livelier and the painting took me nearly 100 hours to complete, being done mostly in acrylics with minimal use of oils.
