There is no challenge more challenging than the challenge to improve yourself…..
This apparently became my inspiration in selecting the most difficult subject I had ever sketched or painted in my lifetime as an artist. The scene I chose was more of a colourful architectural maze with the focal point being the lone gondola cruising around the canal.
The task was quite monotonous than I imagined, but I set myself on the path to accomplish this challenge, completing this painting of the floating city in 160 hours.
Since Venice has always been considered as one among the most serene republics of the world, I have titled the painting based on its alternate Italian name “La Serenisimma”.
