Pathway to Paradise

This was the only seascape I had so far painted, the very first painting in the beginning of the lockdown in 2021. This was a trial just to start of the lock down as it was sort of very depressing and I thought a beach scene would really be a diversion to the mind. I really enjoyed painting this scene as I kept imagining walking on those breezy sandy shores with the sea in the distance, the sun brightening the fences especially.

The shadows of the sand is what makes this painting unique as the sun rays pass through the tall reefs on either side. I thought a sail boat would look apt in the horizon and can liven up the scene as the beach scenes are mostly filled with boats and sunbathers but I decided later on and even erased and painted over the place where the sail boat was actually originally painted.

Titled “PATHWAY TO PARADISE”, done with Oil on Canvas, also happens to be still one of the paintings left in my collection at my studio as many never opted for a beach scene when it came to the point of sale. I would still like to paint further scenes around the beaches but trees, rivers, lanes and villages interest me more so I naturally tend to focus more on them.
