  • A commissioned portrait

Rishi

Portraits are always a challenge and getting a likeness in a portrait is one of the trickiest things I have learnt in art. It is an unexplainable moment of achievement when the subject portrayed starts looking back at you from the easel and little Rishi, was no exception……

This commissioned portrait, posed a colossal challenge of its own as every other portrait I have done and was completed in 180 hours, being one among the few male subjects that I have painted over the years.

The largest portrait that I have painted and my first ever on a pre-framed MDF board, it brought about a series of emotional outcomes and cherished moments of happiness to the subject himself as the painting was presented to him as a surprise for his birthday!
