SOLITARY STROLL
Every artist is inspired to paint different scenes or subject which inspire him or her during the course of their artistic journey. In south Indian villages it is very casual to find these nonchalant activities of village folk going about their every day duties of work which are mostly associated around nature.
These small activities contribute to their daily livelihood and it would have been a challenging art work if I could have painted these scenes in directly as and when the rural activities go on.
This painting was inspired by such traditional scenes generally seen around most of the rural areas of India. The painting depicts the old lady’s perseverance to accomplish her motive of walking through the grass filled path to reach her destination. The idea of this type of painting focuses on the subject of action rather than the background.
