Timeless Tradition
It was a fascinating task, seeking an appropriate subject to create a photorealistic figurative art and in the process, my niece turned out to be the prime choice of a model, inspired by many of her postures in traditional outfits which were always embellished and colourful.
This also has been the most intensively painted subjects, with the unfolding of a challenging artistic development to translate my inspiration into a true-to-life painting.
Though I hoped to finish this painting by end of 2023, with all the unpredicted delays, the concluding stages of this painting stepped over to 2024 eventually, and has been so far my largest figurative painting ever created over a period of 2 months.
